Borders in Recovery wins Rural Recovery Award

Borders in Recovery wins Rural Recovery Award

The award recognises the impact of peer-led recovery support across rural communities in the Scottish Borders.

Borders in Recovery is celebrating a Rural Recovery Award win, recognising its community-led approach and the people who make recovery support possible across the Scottish Borders.

The organisation brings people together through recovery cafés, SMART Recovery groups, peer coaching, recovery activities and practical support. Its work reaches communities across the region, including Galashiels, Hawick, Peebles, Eyemouth and Kelso.

The award reflects the commitment of community members, staff, volunteers and partners who create welcoming places where people can build connections, find support and take steps towards recovery.

“We’re delighted that Borders in Recovery has received this recognition. The award belongs to the people who bring the community to life: those who share their experience, support one another and help make recovery visible and possible across the Borders. We’re grateful to our staff, volunteers, community members and partners who make this work happen.”
