More Time to Comment On Controversial Pylons

Scottish Power Energy Network has further extended the consultation period for its controversial Cross Border Connection, which plans around 50 miles of new giant pylons to carry windfarm energy through the Borders.

The latest extension is until December 23rd, and follows a meeting between SPEN and Scottish Borders Council's chief executive David Robertson and leader Euan Jardine, and campaigning across the region.
