Offer to Chamber Members

Scottish Borders Chamber of Commerce and Utilitywise Plc have formed an energy partnership to offer members a comprehensive energy management service: from what you pay for your energy to what each circuit is consuming in your business they have it covered. They know what to ask when they are negotiating with your suppliers and they know which aspects of your business can be targeted to reduce your energy consumption and save you money.

As a first step they are offering a Free Energy Health Check to Scottish Border Chamber members, so make sure your membership is up to date. The Energy Health Check (worth £75) compares your energy consumption with the national average for your building and industry type. It gives a high-level view of what energy savings could be and looks similar to the display energy certificates (DEC) you see in public buildings.

This service is completely Free of Charge, and is a really simple process; all we need is permission to work on your behalf, the size of your building and your operational hours. They will do the rest. Just contact them on 0870 626 0559 or on www.utilitywise.com

Business Structure

Utilitywise have built their business around our clients. They assign a dedicated energy consultant to every client on our books and make it easy for clients to stay in touch with their consultants, via direct telephone lines, fax and email.

Each consultant is part of a small, hard-working team. This makes it easy for them to share their knowledge and expertise with each other, adding to the overall knowledge base available to our clients.

Each team is led by an energy manager, an individual with years of experience in the business energy sector. They’re also trained energy auditors or experts in other areas, like smart meters.

Their team managers consult with each other as well, allowing them to service clients with specialist and deeply complex needs. Where a client’s energy needs are particularly complex, they’ll be looked after by several energy consultants – all within the same team.

All of their teams draw on the expertise of our Energy Audit, Edd:e, and Ecofit specialists.
